Classification of Dating Site Users
Once You register at any dating site, You will feel like looking at a crowd of strangers. But spending more and more hours in this cyber space would lead You to the thought that many of them are very typical. Just like in real life. We decided to classify most common types of users You can meet at dating site.
1. "Kings and queens". Some people draw a perfect (but never realistic) image of their match in their head. The lists of their demands are endless and their selection is very strict. But for some reason they don't consider much their own merits.
2. "Just users". These are users who never make their virtual flirting real. They can be of two categories. Firstly, these are teenagers who lack experience in relationship. They are afraid to make a mistake, to suffer, so they are trying to seduce and flirt without personal contact. Another group is mature men and women, who are probably married or already in relationship. They don't want to break up with their partner because of many reasons but their need for romance and flirt is pushing them to dating sites.
3. "Casanovas". Users of this group independently of their sex are looking for diversity. The more relations- the better, but they don't last long. Psychology calls such people collectors. Usually they are very open in everything including their sexual preferences and have very extravagant appearance.
4. "Prostitutes". It's useless to ignore a fact that a big part of users are using the site for material interest. But there are also two subcategories. 1) People who know what they do and how they do it. 2) Their profiles are common and do not seem suspicious. But in the process of communication You find out that their needs comprise good car, big house etc.
5. We didn't find suiting name for this group because these are people whose purpose is really "to find a perfect match". It is intentionally in the end of our classification as the statistics is still sad- this group is the smallest at dating sites.
