Romantic scammers

Have You ever caught yourself at the thought that the person You met at the dating site is too good to be true? Be careful not to fall a victim to a romance scam that became so wide spread in the cyber space. It occurs when people pretend romantic intentions to get access to their victims' money, bank accounts, credit cards i.e. anything they can use for their profit. They can even talk their victim into committing financial fraud on their behalf. The romance schemes are so various but they have a lot in common – a stranger establishes friendship/ love relations with you, play a sad story and starts asking for help. Excellent psychological reading of their victims gives them the opportunity to make it very fast.
You need to start being suspicious if:
—person You know for short starts asking for your personal information;
—stranger asks for your assistance in shipping the goods from abroad;
—little known person asks for your material help (hospital bills, tickets, visa etc.);
—shortly known woman says she is in love with you and demands some gifts.
After getting a money transfer the scammer disappears. When they are arrested, they state they really had feelings towards their victims.
They usually use the photos of unknown people in their profiles; thus a person can fall a victim to the scam without knowing it. After being scammed you are put on a "contact" list by the scammers. You may receive random instant messages and emails from people you do not know. These are scammers trying to scam you again.
Many sites today offer "black list" of scammers. But still You need to be careful talking with persons You hardly know via Internet. The best weapon against scammers is being educated. Keep your heart and wallet safe!
